Rolfing
I’m taking 9 Months off teaching to train to in Structural Intergration also known as Rolfing in Munich, as usual I’m not sure why I’m doing it but I’ll let you know when I find out. Rolfing is a combination of massage & exersise combined to improve posture, movment & body awarness. For me getting the 10 Rolfing sessions has felt like a process of growing up a little more. I will post the odd update here if you want to know how I’m getting on. If you would like to find out a bit more about rolfing then check these links.

Practicing Yoga
I have great trouble explaing why I practice Yoga, at times it seams a very silly thing to do i.e legs behind the head isn’t the most useful thing. The best reason for practicing I can come up with is to see what will happen, like an experiment.
Teaching Yoga
I first came across Yoga in a copy of The Beano Comic when I was about six; later that day I threatened to do some Yoga on my long-suffering sister. This was my first attempt to teach yoga; I must have thought it was as deadly as Karate. My Dad laughed and patiently explained that Yoga was all about sitting with your feet on your thighs, and putting your feet behind your head. Since that day I have been able to sit in padmasana, but I’m still working on putting my feet behind my head.
Roughly twenty years later I began to practice Astanga. It has taught me that if you don’t try to do something you never know if it is possible. When I find myself struggling with an asana then I say too myself maybe tomorrow. It is important to keep in mind that no-one finds Yoga easy but it is a fantastic thing to do.
